Discover Quality Ophthalmologists Near You

Vision care is something that many people often overlook when it comes to health care, especially if it’s difficult finding experienced and highly trained ophthalmologists near you. In NYC, our team proudly provides quality eye care to residents who once had to travel into the city for vision treatment.

Meet New York Ophthalmology Founder, Dr. Neil Patel

Dr. Neil Patel established New York Ophthalmology to provide services ranging from eye exams to glaucoma treatments to New York City and Long Island residents with 5 locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens.

Dr. Patel is a board-certified ophthalmologist who graduated from Columbia University and earned his medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn. He’s also a fellowship-trained retinal specialist who’s assembled a team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other staff members who share his vision of providing compassionate care to all patients.

Services Offered at New York Ophthalmology

Besides providing primary vision care, the services offered at our locations in the South Bronx, Jackson Heights, Jamaica, Washington Heights, and Bedford-Stuyvesant include:

Additionally, we perform LASIK vision correction surgery, an elective procedure that significantly reduces the need for eyeglasses or contact lens.

Your Partners in Eye Care

Since Dr. Patel founded the practice in 2014, we’ve continued to grow and recently have added several specialists to our staff. Many of the doctors and our support staff can speak multiple languages to better serve the communities where our offices are located, including:
  • English
  • Spanish
  • Bengali
  • Hindi
  • Gujarati
  • Korean
  • Portuguese

We’ve emphasized the importance of regular eye exams because early detection and treatment of certain eye conditions, such as glaucoma, can prevent more extensive or permanent damage to your vision. In fact, glaucoma when diagnosed early can often be treated with eye drops.
