Juliana Choi, OD
Dr. Choi is an optometrist at our locations in Queens, NY, who believes in providing equal, high-quality health care to all groups of people living in her community. She specializes in ocular diseases and co-manages pre and post-operative surgical care. Dr. Choi received her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New York State Optometric Association. While in school, she served as the treasurer of the NECO Private Practice club and secretary and co-president of the NECO Fellowship of Christian Optometrists club.
Qianwen Dong, MD
Dr. Qianwen Dong is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma, cataract surgery, and various diseases of the eye. Originally from Beijing, China, Dr. Dong completed her secondary education in Missouri and Southern California. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at UCLA and received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, where she was the first recipient of the Research to Prevent Blindness Medical Student Fellowship at the institution.
Lan Heng, OD
A competent optometrist, Dr. Lan Heng serves multiple locations across New York and ensures better eye health and good vision for the community. He currently practices at New York Ophthalmology and manages a wide array of patient concerns, including cornea problems, eye infections, and double vision. Dr. Heng attended Brigham Young University, where he received his bachelor’s degree. He then completed his doctoral degree in optometry at the Western University of Health Sciences. He also holds active memberships in the American Academy of Optometry.
James Kirszrot, MD
James Kirszrot, MD’s areas of expertise involve medical and surgical treatment of conditions affecting the eyelids, the lacrimal (tear duct) system, and the orbit (eye socket). These include eyelid malpositions, ptosis (lid droop), tearing, ectropion/entropion, and growths and skin cancers around the eye.
Forum Patel, OD
Dr. Forum Patel is an optometrist serving patients in Queens and the Bronx, NY, who earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry. She completed her residency in Ocular Disease with emphasis in co-managing anterior pathology, retinal pathology, glaucoma, oculoplastics, pediatrics, strabismus, low vision, and specialty contact lenses fittings at Fromer Eye Centers in New York.

To get to Washington Heights from the south, take Wakefield – 241 St MTA to 96 St. Walk northwest for 0.3 miles, then get on the Van Cortlandt Park – 242 St MTA to 145 St. Once there, head northeast on Broadway toward W 146th St. In 160 feet, pass Harlem Garden on your right, then turn right at 146 St. We’ll be on the right-hand corner of the City MD Urgent Care building, on the second floor.
From within Washington Heights, take the M101 bus Amsterdam Av/W 170 St to Amsterdam Av/W 148 St. Walk northeast on Amsterdam Ave for 50 feet, then pass River restaurant on your right and turn right onto 147 St. In 400 feet, pass Bethel Holy Church of Deliverance on the right and turn left onto Broadway St by Blooming Threading Salon. Cross 146th St, and we’ll be on the second floor of the left-hand corner building.
