Dr. Sarwar Zahid is an ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon at our locations in Manhattan and Queens, NY. He is affiliated with the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. Dr. Zahid is board-certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
He completed medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School. He returned to New York University for Ophthalmology Residency, working at Bellevue Hospital and the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. He returned to the Midwest to complete his Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
After two years working as a surgeon in Chicago, he joined New York Ophthalmology.
He is a proud Queens native who speaks Bangla and Spanish and enjoys serving his community.
